I'm Hunter, and I photograph couples across Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, and the Lowcountry: engagements, surprise proposals, anniversaries, and every quiet season in between. No stiff posing, no awkward prompts read off a phone — just the two of you, in good light, being yourselves.

Engagement Sessions

You said yes — now let's celebrate this season before it turns into seating charts. Engagement sessions are relaxed, golden-hour outings that give you photos for the save-the-dates and something more: practice. Surprise Proposals

You're carrying a ring and a secret, and you want the moment documented without giving it away. That's my favorite assignment. I'll scout the spot with you ahead of time, hide in plain sight, and coordinate timing by text — and when you go down on one knee, I'll already be capturing it. Then we roll straight into a mini session, because you two are going to want photos from the first hour of your engagement.

Couples & Anniversaries

No ring required. Anniversaries, babymoons, or the simple realization that you haven't had a good photo of the two of you since the wedding. If it's you and your favorite person, that's reason enough.

What a Session With Me Feels Like

Here's the secret: we're just going for a walk. We'll wander somewhere beautiful while the light gets good, and I'll give you little things to do that create real moments instead of poses — whisper your worst joke to her, walk ahead and let him catch up, tell me the story of your first date while I shoot. You'll forget the camera faster than you think.


I'm not going to bend you into shapes or ask you to fake a laugh. My job is to notice what's already between you — the hand squeeze, the look, the way one of you always makes the other crack up — and make sure you get to keep it.

The Lowcountry is unfairly romantic. Golden hour on the sand — see my Hilton Head beach photography sessions for everything the beaches offer — the live oaks and Spanish moss of Old Town Bluffton, the May River docks at sunset, Harbour Town's lighthouse and marina, the long shaded lanes of Palmetto Bluff. Tell me the feel you're after — coastal, moss-draped, small-town golden — and I'll pick the spot and the hour.

Planning a Proposal? I've Got You.

Proposals are equal parts romance and logistics, and I handle the logistics so you can handle the romance. Here's how it works: we have a planning call where I learn the story and help you pick the spot and time. We build the decoy — a sunset walk, a dinner reservation "on the way." I'll tell you exactly where I'll be and what your signal is. You propose. They say yes. I capture all of it — the knee, the hands over the mouth, the yes, the happy tears — and then we take twenty minutes of just-engaged photos while you're both still floating.
