Hilton Head Senior Pictures
Portraits that look like them — this year, this age, exactly who they are right now.

Senior year moves fast. One minute it's the first day of school, and suddenly you're ordering a cap and gown and wondering where the time went. The yearbook photo won't capture this — but a real session will.
I'm Hunter, and I photograph seniors across Hilton Head Island and Bluffton with the same documentary approach I bring to everything: relaxed, candid, and built around who they actually are. No assembly line, no stiff studio — just a session where they get to be themselves, and photos you'll both love for completely different reasons.
THE EXPERIENCE
Senior Photos They'll Actually Want to Post
Here's my deal with every senior: this session is yours. Your spots, your outfits, your vibe — your music on the drive over if that's what loosens things up. I'll handle the light and the direction; you just have to show up as yourself. The "posed" shots take ten minutes. The good ones happen in between — the laugh at your own joke, the walk between locations, the moment you stop performing.
And for the parents: I see you too. You'll get the portrait for the wall and the one for the graduation announcement — and you'll get the candids that look like the kid you actually know, not a catalog model wearing their face. They get the profile picture. You get the keepsake. Everyone wins.
SESSION DETAILS
What Your Session Includes
Every senior session includes multiple outfit changes — most seniors bring two or three looks — and we can move between locations within the session, like beach to downtown, to give the gallery real range. Before we shoot, I'll send a styling guide and we'll talk through what tells their story: the jersey, the letter jacket, the guitar, the surfboard, the dog. If it's part of who they are, it belongs in the photos.
LOCATIONS
Where Seniors Love to Shoot
The beach at golden hour is the classic — see my
Hilton Head beach photography sessions for that whole world. But it's far from the only option: the live oaks and storefronts of Old Town Bluffton, Harbour Town's lighthouse and marina, the trails of Sea Pines Forest Preserve, the marsh boardwalks at sunset. And then there's their spot — the ballfield, the dock, the driveway hoop — wherever the last four years actually happened. Tell me who they are, and I'll tell you where the light is.
WHEN TO BOOK
When to Book Senior Pictures — Class of 2027
The sweet spot is the summer before senior year: schedules are open, the light is long, and the deadlines are still far away. Early fall is the move for yearbook submissions — sessions book quickly once school starts, so grab a date before the calendar fills. And spring works beautifully for graduation announcements, when the finish line is in sight and the moment feels real.
I photograph seniors from schools across the area — Hilton Head High, Hilton Head Prep, Hilton Head Christian, May River, and Bluffton High among them. Every school runs its own yearbook deadline, so tell me yours and we'll build the timeline backward from it.

Senior Session FAQs
When should we book?
For the class of 2027: summer and early fall sessions book first, especially golden-hour weekend slots. If there's a yearbook deadline in play, reach out at least a month before it so we have time to shoot, edit, and submit without stress.
How many outfits can they bring?
Two or three works best — enough for real variety without turning the session into a costume change marathon. My styling guide covers what photographs well, but the rule of thumb is simple: things they already feel great in.
What about yearbook deadline requirements?
Tell me the school and the deadline when you book, and I'll make sure your selects are edited and delivered in time, in whatever format the yearbook needs. I work backward from that date so it's never a scramble.
My senior hates having their picture taken — will this work?
They're my specialty. Most teenagers walk in convinced this will be miserable, and most leave asking when the photos will be ready. There's no forced posing and no "say cheese" — we walk, we talk, I catch them being themselves. Reluctant is a totally fine starting point.
Can friends or the dog come?
The dog? Always — senior-and-dog photos are undefeated. Friends can absolutely join for a few shots at the end; if a friend group wants their own photos, ask me about splitting a session.
Beach, downtown, or both?
Both, if you want — that's the beauty of shooting here. A beach-to-Bluffton session gives the gallery two completely different worlds in one golden hour. If we have to pick one, I'll recommend based on their style.
